Housed in our historic adobe buildings, our courtyard suites feature separate living areas with fireplaces, TV and plenty of room to live in our adobe’s history. The Merritt House adobe was built in the 1830’s and has been newly renovated. When you stay at our suites, you get the best of both worlds. You’ll be staying in a beautifully historic suite with a modern twist and a lovely garden right outside of your suite. 

Want to come to the Merritt House Hotel with your family? Well then our Double Queen rooms are the right rooms for you. Housing up to 4 people, these rooms are perfect if you want to stay close to your family during your stay with us. The Merritt House Hotel is a family run hotel and we understand how important it is to keep family close. Our Double Queen rooms also look into our beautifully preserved garden. Some of these rooms have a shared patio on the first floor and some are overlooking our garden from the second story with an accompanying common balcony. Our Honeymoon Suite is also housed in our adobe building. However, this is our prize suite. With an accompanying porch overlooking the main street, and a private furnished deck, our Honeymoon Suite is more than worth the rate. This suite has the same accommodations as our Courtyard Suites with just an extra oomph. If you want to experience Monterey in the ever so elegant way that is meant to be, our Honeymoon Suite is just right for you. 

Our King rooms have all the amenities necessary to enjoy your stay in Monterey, and more. All of our King rooms are newly decorated and have beautifully renovated bathrooms. With every room being unique in decorations, you will come to find your favorite King room over the many times you’ll stay with us. Some of our King rooms have vaulted ceilings and we’d love for you to see. You may always contact us directly to see if we have those vaulted ceiling rooms available for your stay with us. Nevertheless, every King room is just as warm and rich as the others.

Just as wonderful as our other rooms, our Queen rooms are perfect for your getaway to Monterey. All of our Queen rooms, just as our other standard rooms, have french doors. Having those french doors open on a warm summer day with the sun basking in is one of the most beautiful feelings. On the contrary, our Queen room’s are also perfect for having a warm cup of cocoa with a log crackling in the fireplace while watching your favorite holiday movie.
